Responding to Incoming Emails with Ruby on Rails

Introduction to Rubinius

Rubinius is an up-and-coming replacement for the existing ruby virtual machine. It contains many advantages of the default VM, including core libraries actually written in ruby (rather than C).

Why a talk about Seaside at a Ruby on Rails meetup?

- Seaside on the net; DabbleDB
- Seaside's experiment with escaping from the orthodox. The trade-off's: no templates, shared everything, opaque URLs and the benefits
- Example of programming with Seaside - the code and the environment
- Wrap-up: pros and cons, the future.
