Flex & Rails... a terrific combination. Learn what works and what doesn't from our own Michael Rood.

Synopsis: Flex is an open source language to develop graphical user interfaces that run in Adobe Flash movie containers. Why on earth would anyone want to do that? Come find out both why and how. Mike will explain the opportunities and challenges this technology presents for Ruby and Rails developers. He’ll develop a quick demo application using Adobe’s proprietary Flexbuilder IDE and will show off some production applications that demonstrate what Flex can do for you.

Bio: Mike Rood is a system administrator for a small company in the East Bay and has been working with Flex & Rails for over a year.

I had developed a set of flex on rails tools prior to switching to Grails. I use the same basic concepts. It will be interesting to see Mike Rood has to present.
