Hello all,

JRuby is fast becoming a solid (and possibly preferred choice) for deploying Rails apps. Rich Manalang from Oracle will talk about how he and a small team from ThoughtWorks developed the first public deployment of JRuby on Rails (https://mix.oracle.co...) last November. He will go over JRuby basics, the advantages of deploying on JRuby, the differences between JRuby and MRI, and run through several deployment options.

Please come and join us, and as always, food and refreshments will be served!

Cheers,
- Will Sobel

Arrive before the building locks up? Also, our meeting room is on the ground floor of the backside of the building, so you could go around and tap on the window if stuck.

This seems very interesting. Showing IBM Sharable Code at MashupCamp 6 on Wednesday... Hopefully I can make it.

I've put my personal phone number up on the web site. I'm sure it will stay within the group! ;-) If you have any trouble getting in, give me a call. Cheers, - Will Sobel

Could someone let me know if there's a trick to getting into Soda Hall? Last time I found it locked. Currently working on a JRuby on Tomcat deployment, so I'm looking forward to this one.
