Will fill in details later.

If you are unfamiliar with the Westbrook and are unsure where the MESDA offices are please let me know. I'll do my best to give some more details. It is fairly easy to find however, and is a large brick building with with a big sign out front.

Tony Smith is going to go over how he uses Ruby in his day-to-day work. This is NOT covering Rails, but a more generic use of Ruby itself.

Sorry about changing the details again, but just finalized the time with Todd from MESDA so it looks like everything is good to go. Please RSVP or decline when you know if you can make it or not, it helps out a lot. Thank you!

For the meeting topics, we have to cover some of the MESDA stuff such as setting up managers and getting all that stuff going. Again, I'm looking for volunteers here that will be able to help out. None of the tasks are very time consuming but we do need 3 people for manager types. If you are interested please let me know! Would be great to get this stuff out of the way quickly in the meeting.

As far as Ruby topics go I was thinking about covering the Active Record design pattern, and the ActiveRecord module that was writting for Rails, but can be used in any Ruby project. Also hope to go over any project ideas and get things rolling for the next meeting.

Hi again. It looks like we may have a new meeting spot thats a little less 'me' dependent. I've talked with the folks at MESDA and they are very enthusisatic about getting a group going which we'll go over at the next meeting.

Other then the MESDA info I'm not sure what you folks are interested in for presentation material, and open for ideas. There are always more specific details we can get into covering Rails, but I would love to get some more 'just Ruby' material covered. Feel free to let me know!

Hey folks, Nick here. I'm hoping to go over a basic Rails introduction for this next meeting and cover some my more Ruby syntax along the way.

I'll welcome any and all suggestions for more specifics topcs of discussion, and would love to hear how some of you folks are using Ruby in your work, hobbies, where ever.

If anyone has any contacts with in MESDA would you please let me know. I'm hoping to be able to get some small funding for this group so we can get things like food and such and hold more regular meetings. I've never done this before, so if anyone has any experince in setting things like this up feel free to lend a hand and some suggestions!
