Internaut Design - http://internautdesig... - has graciously offered their office as our venue this month.

*NEW* - 15 MINUTES Q & A

Bring your Ruby or Rails question and throw it out to the audience. Someone in the audience who knows the solution can throw out the answer. If the answer is going to be long, you can take it off line. If there is enough of an interest, it could also lead to possible future topics for presentations as well. Thanks to Rodney Carvalho for the suggestion.

PRESENTATIONS

"shoulda" testing framework (http://thoughtbot.com...) - a brief presentation by David Lowenfels of Internaut Design. David described "shoulda" on his blog as "a really sweet testing framework that gives context and behavior without the whizz-bang syntax of RSpec and test-spec." He has also created a textmate bundle for it.

Ruby Reflection and Metaprogramming by Bala - "Learning Ruby isn't like scaling a mountain. It's more like exploring a plain, with interesting features and a distant but very attractive horizon. One thing leads to another, but not in a way that requires you to fight gravity to get there. - David Black" In this presentation we will explore the plain through simple examples. We will see how to fix bugs in someone else's class, avoid boiler plate code and other interesting things about meta-programming in Ruby.

Writing a Domain Specific Language by Blake Mizerany.

RSpec's Story Runner by Pat Maddox - Learn about this exciting new feature that allows you to write plain-text, customer-facing stories. Use Story Runner to enhance customer collaboration and improve feature planning.
