We got a venue: Barce's office*!

The SF Ruby Meetup usually meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. However, that day turns out to be Valentine's Day this year. So we're moving it to the week after - Feb 21, 2006.

6:00 PM Beginner's Presentation - Barce will show off a Ruby time server.

6:45 PM Practitioner's Presentation - Tim Burks will present RubyCocoa (http://rubycocoa.sour..., a bridge that makes it easy to mix code written in Ruby and Objective-C. This gives Ruby programmers access to Cocoa, Apple's rich user interface and application programming framework.

If you want to read ahead, Tim has written an online introduction that you can find at http://www.rubycocoa..... We'll start his presentation with an overview, then will quickly move to some examples and an open Q&A/hacking time.

* Barce's Office is at 209 Kearny St near the intersection with Sutter St. It's very convenient to BART, Muni, and the Stockton/Sutter Public Garage is 2 blocks away. (Google Map - http://tinyurl.com/du...)

** Whoever brings libations will get props. :-)
