OK... tonight's meeting is on. The topics are:

1) An introduction to both Ruby and Rails. I will be presenting this topic and it will cover a very basic introduction into what the Ruby language is from all angles. What are objects, control structures, class creation, idiomatic ruby, and more. From there we will jump right into making a Rails application that talks to the database. This will involve creating migrations for the DB schema to editing HTML views and controllers.

2) The second part of the meeting will be about closures, presented by Brennan. I like this topic a lot. I've seldom dug into the details of closures and am looking forward to it.

If you are new to the group and the meeting location, it is real easy to find. Decipher is located on the 3rd floor above the Subway shop on Granby Street. Simply walk into the foyer for Subway and take the elevator to the 3rd floor. The Decipher conference room is quite large and we can easily handle up to 15 people. See ya'll there.
