Hi all,

Last month we sat down and talked about plans for upcoming meetings, and here's the result:

a) We want to start planning meetings farther in advance, to give everyone more time to plan and participate.
b) We'd like to become more involved in the Ruby world in a practical way. Write code, fix bugs, etc.

Below I've posted the 411 for the upcoming meeting, and some planning towards the future. Try and come to the next meeting, it'll be different and fun!

November meeting:
Wed Nov 12, 7pm in Farmington Hills.

Agenda:
1) Ruby News
2) Programming: Bring a computer and help us write a Rails plugin. We'd like to take the ideas behind Exception Notifier and make it more useful. It will be db-backed, intelligent and have a UI. So read up on Rails plugin architecture and think about what area you'd like to help tackle. All areas of M-V-C will need someone working on them, as well integration, setup and documentation.

December meeting:
Wed Dec 17, 7pm

Agenda:
1) Ruby News
2) Ruby Core Class talk --
3) Introduction to Meta Programming
