 Dark BASIC and DarkGDK\, both gaming resources from The Game Creators to ma
 ke programming interesting for students learning to program.  He will be sh
 owing demonstrations of the two systems\, which are intimately linked since
  the DarkGDK is mostly a C++ wrapper around the functions in the Dark BASIC
  library.  The system uses DirectX as its graphics engine and handles 2D an
 d 3D grapic\, display video and sound files and is a great little resource 
 for writing all kinds of small applications.  As usual\, food and beverages
