I've been coding Java for 10 years now and I'm about ready to leave it (the language, maybe not the vm) behind for something ruby like. I'm interested in practicing TDD and pair programming. Another language in the toolbox is always good.
If you are curious about all the rails hype, you owe it to yourself to check out this monthly series. Come create a real wiki application using rails, and do it the ruby way. Even if you never program ruby / rails in real life, there is a lot to be learned about agile development going on here.
