Need help getting Ruby set up on your machine? Come to InstallFest 2! We will guide you through getting a running Ruby development environment.

For those who already have a working environment: please come share your tips and tricks on how you got up and running and what tools you have found invaluable so far (Windows users: this means you:)

Hope to see you all there!

Also, we will be having a regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, 6/29 at which LeanDog's own Cheezy will discuss Acceptance Testing with Cucumber. More to come soon!

    •  I arrived with a botched Ubuntu installation I've been trying to work through and hoped to ask questions, but everyone else was already deep into solving advanced Ruby puzzles so I didn't feel I could interrupt with such rudimentary issues. A good group of very bright people, but it certainly wasn't an "install fest". I wouldn't have bothered to come on this occasion if I had known.
    •  Since nobody actually needed ruby installed, Cheezy pulled out some ruby puzzlers that taught us about ruby meta programming. Very interesting and good to know, but a bit advanced for me at this point in my ruby journey.
