SUMMARY:Peer Code Review Day
DESCRIPTION:San Jose Ruby Hackfest\n\n"Officially" this will be a "Peer Cod
e Review" hackfest... bring your stuff and have someone else offer some fee
dback! Demos are always welcome\, as are questions and requests for a help
ing hand.\n\n"Officially" this is also a "bring whatever you're working on"
hackfest too. "We" love Ruby*\, but we all know that Ruby doesn't hold th
e exclusive rights to all awesomeness... so bring your cool Plug Computer (
Ben!) or Processing (Kyle!) or Rails (David!) or Actionscript/Flex (Carl!)
or Amahi\, the Uber Home-Server (Carlos) or Whatever (Dan!) projects and ha
ng out with other hackers while you work on your stuff! We all know awesom
eness loves company!\n\nIf you haven't been out for one of our Saturday hac
kfests\, now's the time. Dust off your project and commit to spending a co
uple of hours each week to moving your dream forward. A little bit of appl
ied effort over time has a cumulative effect and gets you that much closer
to getting your stuff out into the world. "Real artists ship" and all that
  other true stuff\, y'know? :)\n\nAlso\, I'm well aware that we've all got
busy schedules and hectic lives and that Saturday afternoons don't work we
ll for all of us. (I scheduled 'em for Saturdays so *I* can show up consi
stently.) If there is a day/time/location that'd work better for you\, ple
ase share.\n\nPersonally\, I'd love it if someone was interested in running
a weeknight version of the group (regardless of frequency... it doesn't ha
ve to be every week) 'cause I'd love to see more face-to-face interaction w
ith folks who are members of our Meetup group. The overall goal of this Me
etup is to create an open\, friendly\, encouraging environment which nurtur
es personal and professional development. This obviously works best when f
olks get engaged/involved and having more meetups would create more opportu
nity for all of us\, methinks.\n\nHope to literally see you soon!\n\n- Dan\
