Since September 1 is Labour Day, the meetup is on the 8th this month. Subsequent meetups will be on the first Monday of the month...
We are moving the meetup to WorkSpace (Suite 400, 21 Water Street) since WorkSpace holds more people and since Ruboss (which includes Dima, Scott and I) are working out of WorkSpace anyway.
Topic: New Ruby Patterns: Tools to improve your code. Reduce code clutter. Increase readability.
Description: Sunny Hirai, founder and CEO of MeZine Inc., a successful and profitable Internet company, will be presenting several Ruby patterns, many of which you've never seen before. These patterns will make your Ruby code cleaner, easier to read and more powerful. If you like discovering new ways to make your code better, you will enjoy this in depth discussion.
Presentation includes free handouts of the patterns and how to use them.
“ Sunny explained some common patterns that come around if you have middle-advanced expertise, it was quite good to share different point of views about how to solve the different problems in hand. These meetup showed a lot of thought provocative topics.
Good Work. ”
“ Wow, loved the presentation. It got me more excited about Ruby and I came away with some notes about some more stuff that I want to check into and learn about. To top it off, I won a pair of movie tickets. That'll help make my wife happy about me running out for a meetup and leaving her to put the kids to bed. ”
